The quality of this product can only be truly appreciated if it’s both measured correctly and subsequently installed to a similarly high standard. Having an experienced fitter measuring and installing your shutters will also ensure you get exactly the right design for your window.

Individual panels usually have a measurement span of 8 inches to 36 inches. How many panels you will need to use will depend upon the breadth of the window. One of the things you need to take into consideration when fitting, is the way the window is constructed. If it is made up of separate glass panels it is better to use the same number of shutters, so that you avoid seeing the window panels when you open the louvers.Plantation shutters that have larger-sized louvers have lesser number of louvers and more space between them.

Self-Measuring and DIY Fitting

If you opt for this method of purchase, the shutters will be manufactured based on your measurements and then sent to you directly for self-fitting. Please refer to the How to Measure section for instructions on measuring your window correctly. After you have taken your measurements, please call us and together we can finalise the details.

Please be aware that the manufacturers do not issue fitting instructions with the shutters. We only advice this purchase option if the shutters are fitted by a competent joiner. You should also be aware that you will be liable for any errors in measurement should the shutters not fit your opening. The customer also has to bear responsibility for any errors made whilst fitting.
