Glossary of Terms

Louvres 

Oval shaped slats that swivel on nylon pins connected by a control rod.

Control Rod 

An elongated rod connecting each louvre. Allows each louvre to be moved simultaneously in order to control the flow of light entering the room.

Stiles 

A rectangular wooden rail running vertically either side of the panel.

Top and Bottom Rails 

Rectangular wooden rails running horizontally at the top and bottom of the panel.
